Teixeira Battles Davis in 179 Co-Main

A clash of light heavyweight contenders will co-headline UFC 179 in Rio De Janeiro on October 25, as Glover Teixeira faces off with Phil Davis.

In the main event, it's the long-awaited rematch between UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and number one contender Chad Mendes.

Fighting three days before his 35th birthday, Brazil's Teixeira has won 20 of his last 21 fights, with the only defeat coming in a five-round title fight against Jon Jones in April. The versatile Davis is unbeaten in four of his last five, and he will be looking to bounce back from a UFC 172 decision loss to Anthony Johnson.
