Movin' On Up - Herman vs Simpson switched to UFC 102 card

Thomas Gerbasi, UFC - After injuries to Wilson Gouveia (back) and James Irvin (knee) scrapped their UFC 102 bout on August 29th, Ed Herman and Aaron Simpson have agreed to move their September 16th bout to Portland’s Rose Garden for another key middleweight matchup, one made even more important for Herman, who will be fighting in his home state for the first time since 2005.

After injuries to Wilson Gouveia (back) and James Irvin (knee) scrapped their UFC 102 bout on August 29th, Ed Herman and Aaron Simpson have agreed to move their September 16th bout to Portland’s Rose Garden for another key middleweight matchup, one made even more important for Herman, who will be fighting in his home state for the first time since 2005.

The replacement bout for Oklahoma City’s UFC Fight Night card will be announced shortly.

Tickets for UFC 102, which features the heavyweight showdown between MMA legends Randy Couture and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, are on sale now.
