It took former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir less than a round to finish Bigfoot Silva by TKO in the main event of Fight Night Porto Alegre. Mir was rewarded for that effort, earning one of four performance bonuses. Joining Mir was Sam Alvey, Marion Reneau, and Matt Dwyer. Each fighter earned an extra $50k for their impressive performance in Brazil. UFC Chief Content Officer Marshall Zelaznik was joined on stage at the Fight Night Porto Alegre press conference by Mir, Johnson, Alvey, Dwyer, Santiago Ponzinibbio, Edson Barboza, Bigfoot Silva, and Reneau.
