ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – “I’m so sorry to interrupt, but would it be possible to get a picture with you?”
As Carlos Condit turns around to see who has tapped him on the shoulder, he suddenly smirks at the sight of the young man’s heavy, yet cautiously groomed beard. Moments prior, the former WEC welterweight champion and interim UFC titleholder had commented how the Nob Hill district of Albuquerque, N.M. – the only place he’d ever called home – had become something of a hipster haven, and now the skinny jeans-wearing youth standing to his right drove home that particular notion.
