The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Network Ten are pleased to announce that the UFC organisation’s first Australian event will be showcased LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on ONE.

On Sunday, 21st February, Australian fans will have the opportunity to see UFC 110 LIVE on free-to-air TV.

The event, to be held at Acer Arena in Sydney, sold-out all 16,500 tickets before the UFC had even announced a single fight for the card.

Network Ten's Head of Sport, David White said ONE was thrilled to have one of the fastest growing sports in the world on ONE.

"The UFC is the fastest growing sports organisation in the world and clearly has a passionate and loyal following in Australia as evidenced by the speed of ticket sales.  We believe that televising the event on free-to-air TV will support its growth here and further highlight that ONE is the leading sports network in Australia," he said.

"UFC 110 on Sunday, 21st February will be one of ONE's marquee events in 2010."

Marshall Zelaznik, Managing Director of International Development, UFC said: “We are delighted to work with our partners at ONE to bring this fantastic card to our Australian fans free of charge.

“UFC 110 is stacked with some of the biggest names in all of mixed martial arts, from legends like Antonio Nogueira and Wanderlei Silva to elite level contenders including Cain Velasquez and Michael Bisping to Australian’s leading fighter, George Sotiropoulos, taking on a world title contender in Joe Stevenson.

“We couldn’t be more excited to give the fans the chance to see this stacked super-card live and free on ONE.”

ONE currently airs UFC Wired every Thursday night and will be expanding its UFC content in the New Year with more magazine style programming and archival events.
