Rankings: Tony Ferguson and Holly Holm Big Winners This Week

Tony Ferguson was upset that he didn’t get slotted in the co-main event at UFC 184 once Chris Weidman vs. Vitor Belfort was postponed.
The Oxnard, Calif. native had a chip on his shoulders and it showed in his dominant first-round finish victory against Gleison Tibau.

Ferguson moves into the top 15 at lightweight in this week’s rankings, making his debut at No. 13. He passes the likes of Al Iaquinta and Jorge Masvidal, and Ferguson said at the post fight press conference that he has his eyes on every member of the top 10. He plans to knock them off, one by one.
In the women’s bantamweight division, Holly Holm was victorious in her debut against Raquel Pennington. Holm moves up three spots into the top 10.
In one other notable move, Jake Ellenberger, on the heels of his submission win against Josh Koscheck at UFC 184, jumps up one spot to No. 10 at 170 pounds.
