Newcomer Taylor Faces Moroz in SLC

With strawweight standout Justine Kish sidelined by injury, the former Ultimate Fighter 20 cast member has been removed from her August 6 bout against Maryna Moroz. Stepping in to face Moroz will be Octagon newcomer Danielle Taylor.

In the UFC Fight Night main event, which takes place at Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah, Yair Rodriguez battles Alex Caceres. The card airs on FOX Sports 1.

One of California’s top prospects, Palmdale’s Danielle Taylor was a seasoned amateur MMA competitor before turning pro in 2014. And in the pro game, she has not slowed down, winning seven of her eight bouts, three by knockout. In March, she avenged her lone defeat, knocking out Jamie Colleen, and now she gets her chance to prove herself in the Octagon against the No. 8-ranked Moroz.
