Fight Announcements: Four for Friday

Despite this being a non-fight weekend, UFC matchmakers Joe Silva and Sean Shelby have been working the phones this week to bring fight fans even more compelling matchups for events in December and January.

At UFC 181 on December 6 in Las Vegas, it will be a meeting of featherweight prospects as all-action Clay Collard takes on Alex White in what could be a show-stealer on a stacked card at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Just a week later, on December 13 in Phoenix, the UFC’s newly-instituted women’s strawweight division gets the most important fight of its young history when unbeatens Claudia Gadelha and Joanna Jedrzejczyk collide in a bout that could produce an eventual challenger for the first 115-pound champion that will be crowned at The Ultimate Fighter finale the night before.

On January 3 in Las Vegas, 2015 gets off to a furious start with UFC 182, and flyweight contenders Kyoji Horiguchi and Louis Gaudinot will do their part to kick the year off in style with their pivotal showdown.

Las Vegas is also the site for UFC 183 on January 31, and middleweights Andy Enz and Thiago Santos will battle it out in a bout verbally agreed to this week.
