The card also features a middleweight showdown between Vitor Belfort and "Jacare" Souza and a clash of welterweight contenders Matt Brown and Demian Maia.
The winner of The Ultimate Brazil 3, Alves has won all four of his UFC bouts, with his 2015 victories over Nordine Taleb and Colby Covington both coming by way of submission. "Bam Bam" Barberena made his impact on the MMA world in his third UFC fight in January, following up his Fight of the Night battle against Chad Laprise with a second-round submission of the previously unbeaten Northcutt.
