Fight of the Night

Biography

TRAINING:  A typical day of training would be a technical session in the morning followed by meal prepping and a bit of rest before training a hard session in the evening.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started getting into fighting about four years ago. I wanted to branch out from my jiu-jitsu background. I also needed to look at making some money, as jiu-jitsu can't pay the bills.

What ranks and titles have you held? I am the 135-lb Sparta Combat League Bantamweight champ and the 145-lb Prize Fighting Championship Champ.

Do you have any heroes? My parents are my heroes.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? The UFC is where you meet the best of the best and you have to be the best of the best. It's the Pinnacle of the sport. I am honored to have this opportunity to fight among these elite fighters on the biggest stage out there.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to both Texas Women's University and University of North Texas. I graduated with my BA in Kinesiology.

What was your job before you started fighting? I am still working for the Sheriff's department as a service assistant at the Marin County Jail.
