Training: I wake up and do a morning practice with all the pros, work MMA and wrestling, go home, lay around, eat lots of meat. I’ve added more meat to my diet preparing for this fight. I go back to the gym and work out my Muay Thai with Master Thong and spar boxing or Muay Thai, depending on the day. I usually hang out at the gym until jiu-jitsu with Fabio Prado begins - gi or no gi, depending on the day.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training for fighting a few years ago. I came up in the Alaska gravel pit circuit.
What ranks and titles have you held? I was the Alaska Fighting Championship Lightweight Champ and the ICON Sport lightweight champ.
Do you have any heroes? U.S Troops
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means everything; it’s what every fighter aspires to do. It’s like chasing a super hot chick for years and finally getting her.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to fight college and got a degree in ass-kickin 101.
What was your job before you started fighting? I was a construction worker in the Prudhoe Bay oil field. Laborers 942
