TRAINING: Depending on the day my training varies. On grappling days I obviously focus on wrestling and jiu-jitsu. Lately I have been working with some high level wrestlers here in Iowa. On standup days I work with my boxing coach, usually pads followed by sparring...no matter the day I do strength and conditioning after. A lot of weight lifting, plyometrics, weighted pull-ups, cross training, kettlebell and tires, stuff like that. It’s probably my favorite part of training.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I stared training about five years ago. I love working out more than anything and missed competing in high school.

What ranks and titles have you held? I have had the Midwest cage championship’s lightweight and flyweight belts, also the Revolution Cage Combat lightweight belt

Do you have any heroes? My father

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s a dream come true; it’s what I have been working for the last five years. I have always wanted to be one of the best fighters in the world and now I have a chance to live my dream.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I have an associates degree in business administration

What was your job before you started fighting? I am currently a collector; I collect on Home Depot accounts

Favorite grappling technique: The triangle; I have the 2nd most wins by triangle in MMA history
