Biography

TRAINING: A typical day varies between striking and strength & conditioning, or jiu-jitsu and technique drilling.

When and why did you start training to become a fighter? I started in 2006, but I have wanted to compete ever since I saw Rumina Sato do a flying armbar years prior.

What ranks and titles have you held? X-1 State Title, X-1 World Title, 808 Battleground World Title, Destiny State Title, Destiny World Title, King of the Cage World Title, Tachi Palace World Title, blue belt in BJJ

Do you have any heroes? Ronald “The Machine Gun” Jhun – he’s an amazing role model for anyone.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? EVERYTHING! All the years I put into perfecting my craft will now be showcased on the biggest stage in the world.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?
No

What was your job before you started fighting? Carpenter

• Pro since 2008

• Six wins by KO, five by submission (2 triangle, 2 RNC, triangle)

• Owns wins over Tyson Nam, Jon Delos Reyes, and his most recent pre-UFC win was a fourth round KO of UFC vet Jared Papazian

• Seven first round finishes

• Has won five of his last ten; on four-fight losing streak.
