TRAINING: The structure of my camps is usually the same - twice daily practices combining drills, circuits, and sparring, with Sundays off. I'm a late sleeper, so first practice is around noon, then I eat, rest, then train again at night. Recovery time is critical between practices.
Thoughts on opponent, Stipe Miocic? Stipe is an amazing champion, an incredible fighter and a humble, respectful guy. I have nothing but respect for him. Our first fight was one of the toughest of my life - he hits HARD.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started with Jiu-Jitsu in 2005, afterwards I met Dorea, who introduced me to Boxing
What ranks and titles have you held? Bahia State Jiu-Jitsu Champion; Bahia State Submission Champion
Do you have any heroes? Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It's the biggest organization, and it's a dream that quickly became true.
