Biography

Training: A typical day of training consists of working (as a mason apprentice) from 7 am to 330 pm then stand up training from 5 pm to 630-7, then wrestling/jiu jitsu from 7-8

When and why did you start training for fighting? 1989. My father took me to my first boxing class.

What ranks and titles have you held? Up & Up Extreme Cagefighting featherweight Champ. Ranked #1 in HI

What does it mean for you to fight in the WEC? Super Bowl of MMA for Featherweights

What was your most challenging professional? Matt Comeau, December 2007. Real tough fighter. Took a solid kick to the head and regrouped for tough decision win.

What is your motivation? My motivation for this fight is not to be an embarrassment to my trainers/club/gym like I was in my previous fight. I felt as though my cardio and style and overall performance were not how I was trained and prepared by my team. I'm going in to this fight representing my clubs and state and I will not make the same mistake as I did last time.
